Simon Reynolds is the author of eight books about pop culture, including Retromania: Pop Culture’s Addiction to Its Own Past, the postpunk history Rip It Up and Start Again, and the rave chronicle Energy Flash.  His latest book Shock and Awe: Glam Rock and its Legacy from the Seventies to the 21st Century will be published in the autumn of 2016.  Born in London, now resident in Los Angeles, Reynolds is a contributor to magazines including The New York Times, The Guardian, Pitchfork, and The Wire.  He also operates a number of blogs centred around the hub Blissblog
