BIO

Over the last few years, Paula Temple has emerged as one of the techno scene’s most compelling icons. A hyperactive artist, her 2014 album Deathrox was her second release on the legendary R&S label. Already a fixture at the forefront of the international techno scene, and known for a series of collaborations with the biggest names in electronic music, Paula Temple is an artist who prides herself on breaking conventions. Indeed, she defines herself not as a musician, but as a noisician: using the tools of noise and silence, she creates a conceptual, raw, uncompromising and experimental techno sound.

Armed with unshakable commitment, and forever in search of the true underground, she has also created Decon/Recon Noise Manifesto, a platform for “innovative electronic music and collaborations that don’t follow the rules” – a veritable public and ethical declaration if ever there was one. This believer in the collective and non-hierarchic development of electronic music regularly reiterates her desire to work with women, queer and transgender artists.
