BIO

Cristina Farinha is a researcher and policy advisor, specialized in arts, culture, communication and labour law. She works from local and regional to European level with diverse international institutions and networks. Interested in cultural policies, notably the strengthening of the role of culture in governance; the promotion of international cultural cooperation and mobility; and the development of capacity building and networking within the culture and creative sector. 
 

Cristina was Managing Director of ADDICT – Creative Industries Portugal from 2012 to 2016, being responsible notably for launching the European Creative Hubs Network project. She is now member of the Monitoring and Selection Panel of the European Capitals of Culture; Expert of the Selection Committee of the Roberto Cimetta Fund; and representative of the Portuguese Ministry of Culture in the OMC Group on "Creative Entrepreneurship". She also lectures in the MA in Management in Culture and Creative Industries at the School of the Arts Catholic University Porto.
