The holder of degrees from the Paris Institute of Political Studies and the ESSEC business school, Jean-Noël Tronc worked for the European Parliament, Andersen Consulting and the Plan Commission before becoming advisor to the Prime Minister on “new technologies and the information society” between 1997 and 2002.
 

Following five years at France Telecom/Orange (2002-2007), where he held the posts of Strategy & Brand Director and then Orange France Managing Director, he spent three years as the CEO of Canal+ Overseas, the company that coordinates the Canal Plus group’s subscription television activities outside of mainland France. He joined SACEM as its Managing Director in June 2012.
 

The founder of the France Créative movement, he is also vice-president of the European Grouping of Societies of Authors and Composers (GESAC), an administrator at both the International Confederation of Authors and Composers Societies (CISAC) and the French Coalition for Cultural Diversity, and president of the Franco-American Cultural Fund.
